the Artist

Painting is my joy. I make pictures of my favorite places, other folks' special sites, scenes that catch my breath. I like color, pattern, intriguing shapes...but most of all I want to make images that convey that feeling. I have (occasionally) felt that making paintings that don't try to show the pain or struggle of life are unimportant or even useless...but a friend told me that we all need moments of beauty, and in any event I am compelled to keep on with color, light, and capturing places I love.
Furthermore
I have other pieces available in studio, and there are usually a half dozen paintings on display at my friend Lorene's wonderful store, Hudson Art & Framing (hudsonartandframing.com)
I am also very happy to do commission work, either from a site visit or your photos.

I will always be a painter...and I am also a mum and a Grandmum...a gardener....a sister....a summer swimmer...a wife...a devoted hiker...a friend. All those things and more shape my life.
If we have learned only one thing from recent events, it is to seize the moment and remember to smile.
